Is There an Online Version of Logisim-evolution?

No. There is no official web or browser version of Logisim-evolution. It is desktop software — you install it on Windows, macOS, or Linux and run it locally. Any website claiming to offer “Logisim-evolution online” is not affiliated with the project; be careful with such sites.

It takes two minutes to install the desktop version:

Why there is no web version

Logisim-evolution is a Java desktop application with a full graphical canvas, a timing-diagram engine (chronogram), and FPGA board integration. Porting all of that to the browser would be a major rewrite, and the volunteer development team focuses on the desktop releases instead.

Browser-based alternatives that actually exist

If you cannot install software — for example on a Chromebook or a locked-down lab machine — these are real, separate projects that run in the browser:

DigitalJS — a digital circuit simulator that runs entirely in the browser, by Marek Materzok (University of Wrocław). Geared toward teaching and toward simulating circuits synthesized from Verilog. Try it at digitaljs.tilk.eu.

CircuitVerse — a free online platform for designing and simulating digital circuits, with an interface deliberately similar to Logisim. Open-source, built for education. Available at circuitverse.org.

Both are independent projects with their own features and limitations. For full coursework — especially anything involving the chronogram, VHDL/Verilog export, or FPGA boards — the desktop Logisim-evolution remains the better tool. See alternatives to Logisim-evolution for the complete comparison.

Warning: fake “online” download sites

Search results sometimes show sites offering a “Logisim-evolution web app” or an Android APK. The project publishes no Android app and no web app. Those downloads are unofficial at best and malware at worst. Get the software from the download page (links go to GitHub) or the alternatives above — nowhere else.
